THE ART OF ABSCAPE

Brian Busselle was educated in Kent and studied at Tunbridge Wells and Maidstone colleges and gaining a NDD (later raised to degree status) in graphic design in 1960. He worked as an art director at Ogilvy and Mather and Saatchi, plus several other London agencies.

Throughout his career he painted and exhibited widely, both in the UK and Europe, having spent five years working and selling in France.

On his return to England he was drawn to Cornwall, like many artists before him. Now he lives and works on Bodmin Moor where he has become well known for his graphic stylised interpretation of the landscape, working mainly in oil.

In 2005 the St. Ives society of artists invited him to join them and he is a regular contributor to the societies shows, spending 6 years on the board of directors.

In 2009 he was also made a member of the Plymouth society of artists and the associate member of the Penwith society.

Brian Busselle has had many solo exhibitions and joint exhibitions. His work can be found in private collections both here and abroad, including Devon, Cotswolds, Wiltshire and the Home Counties, also Germany, The Netherlands and the USA.
